NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
This seminar, classified as industry related, is the latest updated version of this important safety standard. The NFPA developed this standard for OSHA to reference when inspecting job sites for electrical violations that could cause injury to personnel. This companion manual to the NEC is a must read for all electrical journeyman in order to understand how to select the proper PPE and tools when working on energized electrical equipment. This class will cover the requirements needed to put equipment in an electrically safe work condition, how to select the proper PPE and voltage rated tools, energized electrical work permits – why we have them and when to use them, and lock out/tag out. This how-to class is the basis for any electrical safety program and the NFPA 70E is the guideline to set it up.
